Though the film passes because Transom and Penelope talk to each other, it is only brief and to be honest this film has some serious issues with misogyny especially regarding Transoms' appearance.
There is probably far more that could be said but the portrayal of Transom as a sexual character who is not traditionally attractive, and the problematic nature of her being the main female antagonist.
